John Deere 7130
The John Deere 7130 row crop tractor comes in a basic or premium model that has a ton of optional extra features. The JD 7130 comes with a choice of 2 diesel engines both of which are manufactured by JD themselves. The first is a 6.8 liter John Deere designed and built PowerTech 6068HL280. This 6 cylinder engine is liquid cooled and has a displacement of 6.8 liters. It’s turbocharged and uses a dual paper element air filter. It’s total power output comes to 155 hp. The other engine option is 4 cylinder engine that is a good bit smaller. This is a 4.5 liter PowerTech E4045HL288 engine that produces 125 hp. The 4 cylinder engine is also liquid cooled and use a 12 volt battery to start it.
Power from the engine on the John Deere 7130 is transferred to the wheels through a choice of up to 4 different transmissions. These are a SychroPlus PowrReverser gearbox, 2 different PowrQuad gearboxes or a SyncroPlus gearbox. The top speed that the JD 7130 can achieve is 38.8 kph (24.1 mph). As well as a choice of transmissions for this row crop tractor, you also have a choice of what kind of chassis you get it with. There are 4WD, 2WD and MFWD versions all of which give the tractor varying lengths and wheelbases.
The total capacity of the hydraulics system on the John Deere 7130 is 60.2 liters (15.9 US gallons) and it operates at 200 bar (2900 psi). The 12 volt battery used to start both engines is recharged when the engine is running by a 90 amp alterantor. The JD 7130 comes with a category 2, 3 point hitch. This has a maximum rear lift capacity of 2683 kg (5915 lbs). While many people purchasing this model will opt for the model with a closed operating station which will keep them warm during the winter and cool during the summer, there is also the option of purchasing it with an open operator station.
