The Ariens Zoom 42 zero turn lawnmower is also known as the 915159 lawnmower. This mower is powered by a Courage twin cylinder engine that has been designed and produced by Kohler. The engine has a displacement of 0.725 liters and is started by a key start system using a 12 volt battery. The engine is a 4 stroke model and is fueled via a gas tank that is capable of holding up to 9.5 liters (2.5 US gallons) of gas. As Kohler is a well known and trusted engine maker, they have supplied the engine with a 3 year warranty.

The engine supplies power to the wheels of the Ariens Zoom 42 inch lawnmower via a Hydro-Gear EZT dual hydrostatic transmission that means no gear changing. It also means that the amount of power each (back) wheel receives can be controlled independently. The lap bars control how much power each back wheel receives.
