Kubota GF1800 Snow Blower
The Kubota GF1800 snow blower is smaller than the Kubota GR10 snow blower and is the smallest snow blower attachment that Kubota offers. The cutting width measures in at 1.07 m (42 inches) while it has a cutting height of 0.51 m (20 inches). For those that may be a little confused, the GF1800 is also commonly known as the Kubota GF5225 snow blower. The snow blower is attached to your compact tractor or garden lawnmower via a category A, quick hitch bracket made by Kubota, that will allow you to attach the snow thrower and be clearing snow in under a minute.
The Kubota GF1800 snowblower also has skid shoes that are easily adjustable so that you vary the clearance height of the snow blower depending on whether you are on hard asphalt or softer, less even ground like gravel or earth. The auger within the snow blower is manufactured from serrated steel that effortlessly destroys compacted, hard snow. The impeller blade located at the top of the ‘bucket’ housing powerfully forces snow out through the deflector chute. The auger has a diameter of 0.33 m (12.9 inches) while the impeller consists of 3 blades and has a diameter of 0.4 m (15.75 inches).
The total weight of the Kubota GF1800 snow blower (or Kubota GF5225 snowblower as it is sometimes known) comes in at 79.8 kg (176 lbs). Thanks to the hydraulics system, the snow thrower can be raised by up to 0.18 m (7 inches) from the ground to clear most large obstacles. The frame and impeller have been constructed from 14 gauge steel, while the sides have been constructed from 11 gauge steel. A lot of people find that although the GF1800 is much smaller than models like the Kubota BX60 snow blower, it is still more than enough for their snow clearing needs.
